Nothing. The status quo is the same. No job. Still unemployed.Lots of resumes sent. Lots of applications submitted.
No response.....yet.
Husband still isn't working either. Wish I had better news and a more cheerful update for you.
But we haven't given up yet. We're looking for job opportunities not just around our neck of the woods but in other states, too. We've broadened our reach to hopefully improve our chances. If we have to, we'll relocate. We have no choice ... we have 3 dogs and a cat to feed ... grandchildren to spoil ... places to see ... things to do ... bills to pay ... a life to live.
I'll keep you posted if there are any good tidings to share. Wish us luck!

DeleteI can so relate! It took me 5 months of consistent resume submissions for me to get a call (that thankfully led to a job!). I hope you and hubby find something soon!!
ReplyDeleteAt times I wonder if my resumes are reaching anyone. But I have gotten some rejections, so I know they're going thru. Trying not to take it personally, but its real hard not to. Especially when all this time I thought I had pretty good skills and talents, a tough work ethic, steadfast loyalty. Stuff I would think an employer would want. But I start second guessing myself when it appears no one wants what I got, sniff sniff...
DeleteYou do have extremely marketable skills and a fantastic work ethic. It's just that the job market is so flooded employers are able to pick and choose between skill sets and who they can get away with paying the least. Keep plugging away. The right opportunity is out there waiting for you!
